Lea Tirabasso - In the bushes

In the bushes - 2024 Based on the re-imagined, twisted and distorted orchestral piece Schicksalslied, Op. 54 by Brahms, In the bushes is a rite, an hypnosis, a celebration of our untamed and exposed naked souls. It is somewhere in between a hairy crotch, its origin of the world, and hiding beasts in nature. 6 creatures are taking on an initiatory and transformative journey, similar to a spiritual awakening. Repetition leading up to the trance, counts and heads, hearts and bellies. Why do we hide? What do we do when we hide? Do we hide not to dehumanise ourselves in front of the eyes of others? What if the disgusting of our bodies was in fact the beauty of life.

Lea Tirabasso - Starving Dingoes

Starving Dingoes - 2021 Such was the power of madness, announcing man's senseless secret, that the lowest point of his fall is also his first morning - Michel Foucault Starving Dingoes is a rite. Vividly carved from the marble of our most primal fears, it is a journey through which is bent in every directions, the theme of our ineluctable destiny. It is like in a film where a group of people is lost on a desert island and to survive they have to eat one of them.

AWA - Mary's Daughters

Mary's daughters - 2024 Mary's daughters is a visceral, thought provoking dance theatre research where Goddesses meet in a parthogenetic fertile environment to experience life. "Parthenogenesis" is an asexual reproduction without fertilization in sexual species. This reproduction is assured exclusively by females, without the intervention of the male gamete and with the development of an ovum without being fertilized. This reproduction is assured exclusively by females, without the intervention of the male gamete and with the development of an ovum without being fertilized. What would be the impact on our human societies if such a mode of reproduction became the norm? Especially since we know that several species, using this mode of fertilization, have seen their male population completely annihilated.

Utopic Productions - Weaver

Weaver - 2023 The trio Weaver by choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess is a choreographic round dance about the female body and its inevitable link to a history of violence and oppression, internalized over millennia. The image of weaving serves here as a metaphor for the connections between female fates across time and space, a choreographic basis along which the dancers' bodies connect and empower themselves. Perhaps the net of violence can be broken?
